Breide's "Estancia"

Together to the urban plant of El Maitén and about to three kilometers using #40 National Route meets with "the place where the history began". It was in this place where at the end of the XIX century Mr. Abraham Breide settled with his family, giving beginning to one made an effort but strong farming activity. Here the first floury mill of the area was built, entirely in wood worked with hatchet that is still conserved.
Also here, and before the lack of so essential service, Mr. Breide donated a land fraction in which was built the first Post and Telegraph office of the area, the one that stayed working in the place up to 1974, year in that it was moved to a property given by the Municipality, sited in the urban center of El Maitén.
To the feet of the Oriental Sierra of El Maitén, and watered by the stream Clondique, Klondike or, more colloquially, "stream of Breide" that arises inside their limits, in their fertile lands growth cattle, and forages are also cultivated for these.
