The "Waterfall of the Life"

(We apologize, this page is under construction))

In a canyon conformed by the fluvial/eolic erosion (the "Canyon of the Maitenes") the Cross Stream meets with a jump of about fifteen meters of altitude (50ft), denominated "The waterfall of the Life."

Framed by the wild beauty of the Andes, this waterfall of singular formation takes place in its fall a pond of regular dimensions where some trouts can be appreciated that have overcome the course of the stream from the Chubut river.

Among big removed rocks of the hills that limit the landscape and worked by the water, with ferns, maitenes (Maitenus boaria) and ñires (Nothofagus antarctica) this cascade has the particularity of being extremely sensitive to the climatic changes, being able to be a meek one
fall of water in the summer, a wild torrent in the rainy winters, an icy show in the cold winters or a veil of vapor that it ascends sometimes impelled by those violent Andeanwinds, like it can be appreciated in the picture.
