geographical situation, El Maitén has a semi-steppe weather with
a wet season (the winter), when falls the principal yearly rains.
The temperature has great changes between day and night, and is recommended to the visitors to carry both summer/winter clothes in summer. In the winter, some warm clothes are recommended for enjoy of snow . |

As you can appreciate, the raining rhytm
is ESCASO, being near the 390mm/year in the last ten years, snow included.
The snow accumulated in the good (with some snow) wintes grants the Andes rivers amount of water and the grass for the cattle that grows in our Andean valleys. The summer is, ussualy, the dry season, but are highly probable rains in the two first weeks of February of every year. |
