Clondique, Klondike or Breide brook

To the feet of the Oriental Cord of the Sierra of El
Maitén, and being born in the Estancia
Breide furrows the steppe part of the valley the Clondique or
Klondike brook, this way denominated because years behind not few those
that tried to find gold in their banks were. Colloquially all knows it
as "Breide brook", for the origin of their waters, located in a "Estancia"
whose proprietors are descendants of Syrian-Lebanese ancestors.

Skirted by varied species of typical
arbusts of the patagonian steppe and of the fluvial environment, it is
an ideal place to carry out long walks observing the surrounding biodiversity.
Varied species of ducks, bustards, "teros", "bandurrias" and occasionally swans and flamingos stroll for their waters, while in their surroundings condors, hawks and other falconid species, and owls characteristic of the patagonian steppe and the Andean environment can be sighted. Never lack a typical hidden fox, as also skunks, ferrets, minks, otters, "piches" and "peludos" (armadillos).- |
| Approximately at 2Km of El Maitén, and to the foot of the Cross Hill they are the one on the way to ascent to this Hill and a small hermitage where an image of the Rosario's Virgin aids the travelers that ascend to the hill. |
