Essential reference
points are the bridges over the Chubut river. The route bridge, accros the
#40 National route arrives to El Maitén,
and the rail bridge, used by The Old
Patagonian Express "La Trochita" to cross the water current.
Both of them are panoramic points of our little patagonian village. |

And the autumn arrives... The explosion of ochres from the willows and poplars at the riverside adds to the fire of "lengas" (Nothofagus antarctica) on the western hills, generating a true symphony of colours beside the valley, for your eyes gladness. |
| In winter, the
snow and rains increases its caudal, variating from 4m³/sec in dry
season to more than 30 m³/sec in crescent season.
This alternance of caudal generates with the pass of years that the riverside terrains were covered by a fertile coat of humus, being them able for intensive agriculture. |
