| Near to 130Km from El
Maitén, and 60 from Cushamen, in
a detour of #4 Provincial Route we find a basalt rock canyon with tubular
formations, where Chico River falls from a 20 meters height into a big
hole open in the wide Patagonian steppe, as an eye on the earth appointing
to sky.
Excellent site for fishing (ever with license and in season!), the
way from Cushamen is a little hard, being recommended a 4x4 vehicle with
a countrymen guide, not only for know like also for learn about the patagonian
steppe ecosystem. Condors, ñandúes (rhea americana),
guanacos and any fox that crosses our way are many of the species that
you can see and photograph in your visit. You also can enjoy a magnificent
camping at the riverside of this waterfall, enjoying the unique patagonian
peace. |
